Date: 9 January 2017

The Top 10 finalists for Taman Tugu Greenovation Design Competition have been selected following the shortlisting session held on 31st October 2017 – 1st November 2017.

Now it’s your chance to vote for your top three winning designs for the two categories, bench and gazebo.  The 3 winning designs of each category will be built within the Taman Tugu Park for public use.

Details of the public exhibition and voting are as follows:

Date: 12 January – 14 January 2018 (Friday – Sunday)
Time: 10:00am – 10:00pm
Venue: The Circle (Next to PappaRich), Publika Shopping Gallery, 1, Jalan Dutamas 1, Solaris Dutamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

For those who are unable to attend the exhibition to cast your votes, you can do so online by visiting the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM)’s Facebook page to view the designs and hit ‘Like’ to vote for your top three designs for each category (bench and gazebo). The online voting opens from Friday, 12 January 2018 (10am) to 19 January 2018 (10pm).

The Taman Tugu Greenovation Design Competition, launched by YAB Prime Minister on 4th September 2017, is an idea-based competition for innovative green-friendly designs of benches or gazebos that will be located within the 66-acres Taman Tugu park. The competition received overwhelming response with more than 200 inspiring submissions from both students and architectural practitioners across Malaysia.

Your votes will contribute to the final judging round. This competition and the public voting are forms of public contribution and participation to the Taman Tugu Project.
