Orientation Sept 2011 and AIS2 AGM

Once again, a new semester begins for UCSI University students.

On the glorious day of 24th and 25th August 2011,
a new batch of students enrolled into UCSI University to pursue their tertiary education.
We, from AIS 2 did not miss the chance to participate in this event to get to know our new juniors.

New students getting to know each others through games organized by the orientation committees.

After the welcoming and introduction sessions, the students moved on their respective faculty for the most important event of the day, COURSE SELECTION ! OF COURSE !
And our new juniors arrived here at the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE), North Wing.
Juniors, armed with blurred and shy face. Remember the first time you came to UCSI University?
However their down to spine chill anxiety were eased when they were given a warm welcoming speech by our AIS 2 President, Tan Kwon Chong =) * cheers ! *

Speech by Associate Dean of SABE , Mr. Mohammad Zani bin Mohammad Zain. He explained briefly about Architecture and Interior Architecture.
Followed by Pn. Hanim who guided the students through the course selection.

Later, the seniors arrived for another highlight of the day, PROJECT GREENHORN , the idea of adopting a junior by seniors to be a role model and guide them through their freshman year.
Project Greenhorn is definitely one of the best program organized by AIS 2, not only it will guide the juniors to adapt to their new life as an architecture student, it also increase the bonds between seniors and juniors as AIS 2 is a big family of architecture students in UCSI University.
Moving on to 25th August 2011,
AIS 2 Annual General Meeting 2011 was held in North Wing Auditorium.
Speech by the former President, Daniel. He expressed his appreciation for those who were present and thankful for their support. Apart from that, he mentioned that it is good to have people who love their work.
We would like to thank Daniel as well for his guidance and leadership for the past few years.

Happy Chinese New RABBIT Year ~!!!

In the lunar calendar, Year 2011 is the Year of the Golden Rabbit. The rabbit symbolizes the smart, clever and active. Although only a short holiday for both local students and foreign students, I hope everyone can enjoy the Chinese New Year in Malaysia! !

By the way, it is a short post. And yet as a reminder, don’t forget your submissions and assignments during the holidays..enjoy!! 😀

SABE Gathering 2011

 Greetings Everyone!

It is a Brand New Year and let’s get astounded with what we have here in UCSI!

I believe everyone has been looking forward to a new post ever since this blog was established. We hereby apologize for the late updates. Anyways, this would be our very first entry. Let’s make it memorable by sharing the latest events which have been held on campus (19th January 2011).
As the above title states, it was a Major Gathering organized by the School of Architecture and Built-Environment (SABE) where lecturers and architecture students were invited to join the fun and definitely spend an awesome time bonding with one another.

The event initiated at our very own B.O.S Hall where we gathered together anxiously, welcoming the opening ceremony of the Sabe Gathering.

Awards and Certificates were presented to numerous students during this spectacular time. It was a mere acknowledgment of gratitude and honor expressed by UCSI to her outstanding and passionate students.

Here is a group photo of our beloved associate Dean, Mr. Zani (back row, fourth from right), lecturers and students.
